Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah

Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah was sworn in as the 17th Amir of Kuwait on December 20, 2023, at a special National Assembly session. He officially assumed the role of emir of Kuwait and took an oath before the Kuwaiti National Assembly. This marked the beginning of his rule over the wealthy Gulf monarchy. Sheikh Mishal's accession to the throne followed the death of Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
